3 Irish Cocktails for St. Patrick’s Day

Every year, St. Patrick’s Day heralds the arrival of green decorations (and rivers), parades, and parties…

And what better way to celebrate the rich Irish culture than with a bit of whiskey? Here are three recipes you should try this St. Patrick’s Day:

Irish Whiskey Sour – the simple go-to

1 ½ oz. Irish whiskey
1 oz. fresh lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup (optional)

Shake well with ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass or pour contents of shaker into rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

Irish Car Bomb – the party favorite

½ oz. Baileys Irish cream
½ oz. Irish whiskey
14 oz. Guinness Stout

Pour Baileys into a shot glass and layer whiskey on top. Pour Guinness into a Pilsner glass and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. If you don’t drink this quickly, it will curdle and taste horrible!

Highland Breeze – the sophisticated alternative
