Whether it’s because you find work or school to be a drag or because you simply had an exhausting weekend, dragging yourself out of bed on a Monday morning can be the hardest part of your week. But it doesn’t have to be! Here are 3 ideas to keep you motivated on a lazy Monday:
- Choose to believe that you’re being called. We all have a different calling, but ultimately, we are all aiming for success. You do not have to have big aspirations like solving world hunger or ending world poverty. but you do have to believe that what you are doing–what you are about to do for the rest of the day–is meaningful. You create your reality when you choose to believe that you are doing something for a reason. Your dreams are important, your goals are important, and it’s crucial that you believe that.
- Focus on the good stuff. When you are having a bad Monday morning, it’s easy to think about everything else that can go wrong for the rest of the week. However, if you focus too much on your upcoming losses, then you can completely overlook your upcoming wins. This obsession with not failing causes us to glance over the joy of success. Don’t be so hard on yourself before the week has even started! Let the good times roll.
- Stop “becoming” and start “being.” What are you waiting for? If you are always waiting for something to happen, then you will always feel that way. Be present in your day-to-day life and make the most out of the moment. Don’t waste hours in becoming a productive person. Just be productive. Don’t waste time waiting for something great to happen. Just make it great yourself!
